HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Freshman Alysia DeMichael was the first of the Lakers to score. DeMichael's goal, which came just under five minutes into the first half, was assisted by senior Katie Reynolds.
  • Another freshman, Jenna Rogers was able to direct a hard shot from the left of the circle to convert on a penalty corner and tally her first-collegiate goal at 13:46. Rogers' goal was assisted by Reynolds for her second of the game.
  • DeMichael would strike again in the second half, as she was able to redirect a Lacey Woite shot in front of the cage. This is DeMichael's fifth goal on her young collegiate career, and she now leads the Lakers in total goals.
  • Less than one minute after the Lakers' third goal, Reynolds was able to sweep a Woite pass into the left corner of the cage. Reynolds now has three goals on the season. Woite's assist represents her fourth of the season.
  • Rogers would tally her second goal of the day with eight minutes remaining in the contest.
  • Goalkeeper Joanna Christman made two saves during her 70 minutes in the cage.
  • The Lakers owned advantages in shots (24-4), shots-on-goal (20-2) and corners (8-3).
