PITTSFORD, N.Y. - In their final contest of the season, the Oswego State field hockey team was shutout by St. John Fisher, the top team from the Empire 8 Conference, on Wednesday by a score of 5-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals took charge early in this one with goals at 2:20, 10:27 and 14:20 of the contest.
- Fisher's Bre Socker scored her twenty-fifth goal of the season with the opening goal and assisted on the next two.
- Oswego had a pair of opportunities in the second period with Kacie Simzer notching a pair of shots on goal.
- Socker added another in the third period and Fisher added an insurance goal later in the period to conclude scoring.
- The hosts controlled the match with a 17-2 edge in shots-on-goal and a 9-1 advantage in penalty corners.
- Freshman goalkeeper Erica Scheblein made 12 saves in the contest, the fifth time she's hit double-digits in saves this season.
