MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Behind two goals from
Kaitlyn Mastracco and a shutout from
Erica Scheblein, the Oswego State field hockey team defeated Morrisville State by a 5-0 score and begin conference action with a 1-0 record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego got off to a perfect start when Chloe Parks scored just 53 seconds into the contest off of a rebound.
- The game was fairly even in the first quarter with both teams recording five shots and Morrisville holding a 3-2 edge in penalty corners.
- Just before halftime, freshman Nancy Pagliaroli scored her fifth of the season on a long shot, with an assist to junior Megan Delaney.
- Mastracco scored one in the third and another to open the fourth to expand the Laker lead to 4-0.
- Sophomore Molly Darcy scored her first collegiate goal a minute after Mastracco's second goal on another feed from Delaney.
- Scheblein made three saves in the cage for Oswego in making it 10-straight wins over the Mustangs in field hockey, dating back to 2010.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers head to Elmira at 4 p.m. on Friday for non-conference action.
