BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Softball team split the double header against the Buffalo State Bengals today. The first resulted with a close score of 3-2, in favor of Oswego. That game was a thriller that saw Oswego and Buffalo tied until the sixth inning, when Taylor Dubois hit a single driving in Zoe Mennig for the game winning run. The second game was in favor of Buffalo as Oswego lost 13-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- Oswego opened up the scoring with a RBI double from Tai Smith
- Buffalo immediately answered with two runs of their own, as they now lead 2-1 in the second inning
- Mennig tied the game up in the fourth inning with a solo home run
- A clutch single from Dubois in the sixth inning gave Mennig her second run of the game
- The Lakers pulled this one off with a final score of 3-2
- Fiona Higgins picked up 10 strikeouts in the contest
Game 2
- Oswego opened up the game hot, scoring three runs in the first inning. Aleah Yaizzo, Mattison Phinney, and Mennig all crossed home plate.
- Buffalo tied the game up at three in the second inning
- The third inning saw Buffalo add five more run to their tally, leading 8-3
- Buffalo would duplicate their third inning performance by scoring five more runs
- Oswego's Mennig would score to give the lakers four runs to Buffalo's 13
- The game would end in five innings with a final score of 13-4
