NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Oswego State Women's Soccer team advances to the SUNYAC semi-finals in a grueling quarter-final match against New Paltz. The Lakers advance on penalties kicks after two overtime periods.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers and the Hawks battled to a 0-0 tie through 3 overtimes that led to penalty kicks.
• In the first half both teams had 6 shots, the Lakers edged the Hawks in corner kicks 3-1, while the Hawks edged the Lakers 3-2 in saves.
• The second half, New Paltz jumped ahead 6-2 in shots, while both teams saw zero saves and corner kicks.
• New Paltz lead shots 4-0 in the first overtime. Lakers saw 3 saves.
• The second overtime saw similar results, Hawks led shots 3-2 and corner kicks with 1 and the Lakers led saves with 1.
• After the completion of the third overtime, the Hawks edged the Lakers in shots and shots on goals, while the Lakers led the way in saves and corner kicks.
• The quarter final headed into penalty kicks with New Paltz with the first shot.
• New Paltz' first attempt was missed by Rachel Eisert as did Oswego's Emma Rechtorovic
• New Paltz' Kelly Licata missed their second attempt, while Oswego's second attempt was made by Amber McDermott
• Alexis DeLeo from New Paltz answered by making her penalty kick. Oswego's Jackie Margquardt followed suit by netting her attempt.
• The Hawks once again responded with a shot by Brooke Kellher. The Lakers Lexie Thompson netted the game winner, as Hawks Gaby Treble missed their final shot.
