KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Oswego State Field Hockey team took the Wolves back their den this evening in a 5-1 victory that saw FIVE different goals scorers and seven different point getters! The Lakers improved their record to 4-8 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Wolves got out to a hot start, scoring first in the second quarter, just about four minutes in.

Bryleigh Beauchat scored her second goal of the season less than five minutes later, assisted by Kacie Simzer.

The score remained tied until the third quarter where the Lakers opened the flood gates.

Kate McNally scored her seventh goal of the season and Beauchat earned her first assist of the game at the 38:03 mark on the goal.

Ellie Kazel scored the Lakers' second goal of the quarter, assisted by Molly Darcy.

Up 3-1, the Lakers didn't hold back as Kacie Simzer got on the board with a goal for her third of the season.

With only seven seconds remaining, Oswego earned a penalty corner, with the play alive until the officials discretion, the Lakers scored with 00:00 on the clock. Taylin Bauer scored her first goal of the season and was assisted by Maddie Pflume.

Both goalkeepers saw action in the game, KY Phillips earned five saves in the contest and Sydney Bialek earned one save.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will be home on October 7th at 3:00PM to take on the Geneseo Knights. This game will be the Lakers' breast cancer awareness game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink.
