BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Oswego State swimming & diving teams began their four day competition for the SUNYAC Championships this evening. The women ended the day tied for seventh place with Fredonia and Buffalo State, while the men finished the day tied for fourth place with Oneonta.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The women earned 24 points in the 200m Medley Relay, teamed by Maura Moochler, Emily Lotito, Abby Hinman, and Alexia Lemus. The team finished with a time of 1:54.13s.

The men took fourth place in the 200m Medley Relay, earning 30 points for the Lakers. The team was composed of Zachary Brown, Nathan Ratta Vine, Raymond Paull, and Jack Olsian, finishing with a time of 1:36.97s.

In the fourth event of the afternoon, the women earned 26 points with a sixth place finish in the 800m Free Relay. The team finished with a time of 8:29.68s, swam by Jayna Laferriere, Emily Lotito, Anna Baker, and Alexia Lemus.

In the final event of the evening, the men were able to get 28 more points with a fifth place finish in the 800m Free Relay. Finishing with a time of 7:20.52s was Erick Zizic, Matthew Seyse, Ryan Liedka, and Nathan Ratta Vine.

The Lakers will be competing over the next three days for the SUNYAC Championship, through Saturday, February 18th.
