OSWEGO, N.Y. – SUNY Oswego Field Hockey hosted the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs on Friday afternoon for another SUNYAC match-up at the Laker Turf Stadium. The Lakers secured their first conference home win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first half, the Mustangs were on offense the majority of the time. The first quarter ended with neither team scoring but Morrisville took more corners than Oswego. It wasn't until the 27th minute of the game when
Kate McNally broke through with a drive towards the goal and got the Lakers on the board with a 1-0 lead. The final three minutes of the half remained scoreless but the Lakers were out-shot by Morrisville, 12-4.
It did not take long in the second half for the Lakers to build on their lead. Less than one minute in,
Kate McNally served up an assist to
Bryleigh Beauchat right in front of the net to boost the Laker lead to 2-0. In goal, Sam Krauthiem had a fantastic day stopping quality shots from the Mustangs to help the Lakers maintain their lead. Later, Harlie Giliberi scored her second goal of the season off a rebound giving the Lakers a 3-0 lead that held for the remainder of the game.
