OSWEGO, NY – The SUNY Oswego women's volleyball team returns for another season in the Max Ziel Gymnasium!

Last season, the Lakers finished with a record of 6-16 overall and 3-6 in the SUNYAC.

After a pre-season scrimmage at Utica, the Lakers will head to the William Smith tournament where they will face William Smith (8/30), Clark College (8/31) and former conference foe, Geneseo (8/31).

The home opener for women's volleyball will be on September 4^th when they host the SUNY Poly Wildcats at 6:00 PM.

Then, the Lakers will head back on the road to take on St Lawrence (Sept 6^th), Hartwick (Sept 7th at Clarkson), and Clarkson (Sept 7^th). The road trip will continue to Union College (Sept 13^th), Suffolk (Sept 14^th) and Russell Sage (Sept 14^th) before returning home.

Starting September 20^th, the Lakers will host their annual tournament. There are seven teams competing and that means four games for the Lakers in two days. On Friday, they will take on Utica and Hilbert. On Saturday, they will battle Clarks Summit and Brockport.

Another tournament is up next sending the Lakers to Misericordia University. On September 27^th they will take on their host, Misericordia as well as Hunter. On the 28^th, they will match up with Centenary University and Alfred University. Up next, the Lakers will return home to open conference play.

On October 4^th, the Lakers will head to the defending SUNYAC Champions, Cortland. The next day, they will visit the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs. Volleyball will take a brief road trip to SUNY Canton on October 8^th but quickly return home to take on Potsdam (Oct 18^th) and Plattsburgh (Oct 19^th Senior Day).

Conference play will continue at Oneonta (Oct 25^th) and New Paltz (10/26). Two home games against Fredonia (Nov 1^st) and Buffalo State (Nov 2^nd) will follow before the final game of the regular season on November 5^th at RIT.

The top six teams in the SUNYAC will qualify for post the post season.
