Oswego , NY. - The SUNY Oswego Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams hosted the Oneonta Red Dragons in their first meet of the season, and both came out on top.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Men's Meet
 
The meet started off with a strong showing from the Lakers in the Men's 200 Yard Medley Relay. Oswego's "A" relay of Jayden Hernandez, Manav Sindhi, Mitchell Stevens, and Duncan Smith took first with a time of 1:40.12, and the "B" relay finished second at 1:41.64.
 
Eoin Clive took first in the Men's 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 10:48.85, and Jake Sarnowski took second.
 
In the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle, the Lakers swept the top three spots. Antonio Medina finished first in 1:48.24, with Sam Waddell and Jayden Hernandez taking second and third.
 
Nick Derick took first in the Men's 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 22.41. Duncan Smith finished right behind him in second.
 
Ethan Calhoun won the Men's 50 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 27.57, and Manav Sindhi took second.
 
Oneonta's Ben Heyman swept the Men's diving events, taking first in the 1-Meter with a score of 212.95 and first in the 3-Meter with a score of 177.55. Connor Moran took second in both events for Oswego.
 
Mitchell Stevens won the Men's 100 Yard Butterfly, finishing in 54.45.
 
Antonio Medina added a win in the Men's 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 48.47.
 
Andrew Bilotta took first in the Men's 100 Yard Backstroke, finishing in 57.25.
 
Eoin Clive picked up his second win of the day in the Men's 500 Yard Freestyle, touching first in 5:13.73.
 
Manav Sindhi finished first in the Men's 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:03.26, and the Lakers closed out the meet with a win in the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The team of Antonio Medina, Duncan Smith, Nick Derick, and Sam Waddell finished in 1:28.13.
 
Women's Meet
 
The meet started off with a win in the Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay. Oswego's "A" relay of Izzy Dague, Gabby Janeski, Joscelyn Coniski, and Katherine Burch finished first in 1:58.01.
 
Emily Seldin took first in the Women's 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 11:36.24, and Bella McDonald took second.
 
The Lakers swept the top three spots in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle. Izzy Dague won in 2:07.18, with Emily Seldin and Joscelyn Coniski finishing second and third.
 
Aurora Jarvie took first in the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 25.50. Nina Mastrosimone and Allison Priestley took third and fourth.
 
Amber Burke took first in the Women's 1-Meter Diving with a score of 159.35, and Emily Healy took second.
 
Joscelyn Coniski won the Women's 100 Yard Butterfly, finishing in 1:03.58.
 
Aurora Jarvie picked up her second individual win in the Women's 100 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 56.43.
 
Izzy Dague took first in the Women's 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:06.69, edging Oneonta's Maria Petkovits by just over half a second.
 
Emily Seldin won the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:44.04.
 
Gabby Janeski finished first in the Women's 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:15.03.
 
The Lakers closed out the meet with a win in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The team of Katherine Burch, Nina Mastrosimone, Allison Priestley, and Aurora Jarvie finished in 1:47.18.
 

WHAT'S NEXT?
 
The Lakers will travel south to face Hartwick and Ramapo colleges in a tri-meet on Saturday, October 24th. The meet is set to start at 1:00 PM
