Oswego, NY- The Lakers fell at home on Tuesday night to the Brockport Golden Eagles by a score of 2-0.

How it Happened
The first quarter was scoreless, with both defenses controlling the run of play, though Brockport's Terralyn McLaughlin and Makenna Hart each tested the cage early. Brockport broke through 2:36 into the second quarter when Laela Osinski beat Oswego goalkeeper, giving the Golden Eagles a 1-0 edge. Brockport added to the lead in the closing minute of the half, as Elise Brady converted off a feed from Penelope Schalck to make it 2-0 with 42 seconds remaining before the break.

Oswego could not find an answer over the final 30 minutes, as neither team scored in the third or fourth quarters. The Lakers' defense settled in after the break, limiting Brockport's chances. At the same time, goalkeeper Sam Krautheim continued to be tested and made key stops down the stretch to keep the deficit at two goals, finishing with five saves on the afternoon.

Brockport held the edge in shots and penalty corners for the game, with Autumn Kramer earning several corner opportunities for the Golden Eagles. Oswego drew its own corners in the third quarter behind Mimi Wozniczka but was unable to convert, as Brockport keeper Lauren Mastromarco made two saves to seal the shutout.
