Under Coach Hoover’s leadership, the program has produced 7 All-SUNYAC Second Team selections over the past three seasons, including Jr. Natalie Shields, So. Sam Krautheim, and So. Alexa Snyder in 2025, as well as Sr. Kaitlyn Jordan, Fr. Sam Krautheim, and Fr. Alexa Snyder in 2024, with a 2024 SUNYAC Playoff berth. In addition, Sam Krautheim earned 2024 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year honors, highlighting the program’s continued growth and development of young talent. The team also celebrated Gr. Kacie Simzer earning Second Team All-SUNYAC recognition in 2023.

Prior to becoming a head coach, Hoover served as Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Mansfield University (Division II) for two years. During that time, Mansfield achieved a NFHCA Top-10 national ranking, climbing as high as No. 9 in 2022.

Before Mansfield, Hoover was an Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Washington & Jefferson College (Division III) from 2018 to 2020. There, the coaching staff helped guide the program to national recognition with six consecutive weeks in the NFHCA Top 20 rankings, an overall record of 26-10, the 2018 Empire 8 Championship, Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year honors, and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament Second Round.
