Oswego State Athletics

The Oswego State Athletics Department is excited to announce Caitlin Hoover as the Women's Field Hockey Head Coach. Hoover comes to Oswego from NCAA Division II Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pa. Hoover has been an Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Washington and Jefferson College from 2018-2020 and has two more years of experience under her belt at Mansfield. 

"We are excited to welcome Caitlin to the Laker family."said Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs/Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Wendy McManus, "Caitlin's energy, playing and coaching career will provide us with a great outlook for our field hockey program."

 In 2022, the Thompsontown, Pa native aided the Mountaineers to #9 in the NFHCA national rankings for three consecutive weeks. Hoover's main focus at Mansfield was defensive foundations, game day development, skill sessions and film breakdown. 

In 2018, Hoover boosted Washington and Jefferson College to an Empire 8 Championship with an overall record of 26-10. On top of their conference championship, Hoover's entire coaching staff earned the E8 Coaching Staff of the Year while making it to the second round of the NCAA Championship.
