Oswego State Athletics

Cameron Patton joins the Oswego State men’s ice hockey staff for the 2026–27 season as the Fred Festa Graduate Assistant Coach, bringing with him a strong playing background and a fresh perspective to the Lakers’ program. A native of Truro, Nova Scotia, Patton played NCAA Division III hockey at both Utica University and Plymouth State University, developing into a productive two-way forward during his collegiate career.

Prior to college, Patton played junior hockey with the Carleton Place Canadians of the CCHL and Yarmouth Mariners of the MHL, including a 63-point season with Carleton Place in 2019–20. Following his collegiate career, he continued playing professionally with the Evansville Thunderbolts of the SPHL before transitioning into coaching.

Patton will assist in all areas of the Oswego State program, with an emphasis on player development, recruiting, video and skill development, practice preparation, and day-to-day program operations. His recent playing experience and familiarity with the Division III landscape will provide a valuable perspective as he begins his coaching career with the Lakers.
