Luke Fredsell joins Jason Leone's staff ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Fredsell joins the Lakers men's basketball program after spending last season as an assistant coach at University of Hartford in Connecticut. In his one season in Hartford the Hawks went 13-12, an 8 game improvement from the year prior.
Before the University of Hartford, Fredsell was at Utica University from 2022-2025. While at Utica, Fredsell and the Pioneers made three NCAA Tournament appearances after winning three-straight Empire 8 Championships. Luke was also a part of the Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the year in two seasons.
Prior to his time at Utica, Fredsell was a student-athlete for Northern Vermont University - Lyndon where he played in 82 games for the Hornets with 127 career three-pointers. While at NVU-Lyndon Luke was a Sports Information Intern with the Hornets and was also an Athletic Event Intern for the Syracuse Stallions.
Fredsell graduated from Northern Vermont University - Lyndon with a bachelor's in Sport Management.
