    Men's Ice Hockey Strength and Conditioning

Mark Powell enters his fifth season working with the Oswego State men’s ice hockey program as the team’s Strength & Conditioning Coach, bringing an extensive background in athletic performance and hockey-specific training to the Lakers.

Powell’s experience includes nearly three decades working within the Syracuse Crunch and Tampa Bay Lightning organizations, where he has been involved in the physical preparation and development of professional hockey players. He has also spent many years working with student-athletes at East Syracuse-Minoa High School, giving him experience developing athletes across a wide range of ages and competitive levels.

In addition to his work with Oswego State, Powell is highly regarded throughout Central New York for his work with high-level hockey players. Each summer, he trains many of the area’s top junior, collegiate, and professional players, helping athletes prepare for the demands of their upcoming seasons through individualized strength, power, speed, mobility, conditioning, and recovery programming.

With the Lakers, Powell oversees the team’s year-round physical development and works closely with the coaching staff to ensure training complements the demands of practices, competition, and recovery. His extensive experience at the professional, collegiate, junior, and scholastic levels has made him an invaluable resource for Oswego State student-athletes and an important part of the program’s commitment to comprehensive player development and high performance.
