Oswego State Athletics

Rachael Johnston of the Oswego State field hockey team has been named the Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 8, 2013.

The senior scored a career high two goals against Nazareth to propel the Lakers to their first win of the 2013 season.

Johnston opened the scoring 12:47 into the game and gave Oswego State a 2-0 lead with a goal at 46:23 in the second half.  Johnston’s second goal proved to be the game winning goal as the Lakers went on to beat Nazareth 2-1.
