Todd Lawson of the Oswego State Men’s Soccer team has been named the Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 20, 2013.
The freshman goalkeeper helped the Lakers to two double-overtime ties against SUNYAC opponents Brockport and Geneseo.
In just his second start of the season, Lawson held nationally-ranked Brockport scoreless for 110:00 minutes while stopping four shots in the game for his first career shutout.
Against Geneseo, Lawson allowed one goal while saving eight shots en route to an Oswego 1-1 double-overtime tie.
Lawson and the Lakers are back in action 1 p.m. Saturday for senior day against Cortland.
