Oswego State Athletics

Oswego, N.Y. – Matt Wagenhauser of the men’s track and field team has been named the Oswego Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 9, 2014.
 
Wagenhauser had an incredible performance this weekend at the Golden Eagle Invitational held by Brockport.  He started off the day by taking first place in the men’s 500-meter dash with a time of 1:05:11 which set a new meet record. His 500-meter dash time also qualified him for ECACs.
 
The junior finished the day off with his fellow teammates Andrew Baldwin, Ryan Brennan and Nick Reinsdorf in the men’s 4x400- meter relay team. The relay took first place at the invitational with a time of 3:25.28 which broke both the meet and school records.
 
The men’s track and field team will travel this weekend to Ithaca, N.Y. for the Ithaca Invitational.
