Oswego State Athletics

Oswego State student-athletes receive numerous academic honors and awards. Many of our Laker athletes are named to the SUNYAC Commissioner's List and All-Academic Team. In addition, Oswego State recognizes all of its student-athletes that have attained a 3.0 or greater grade-point average each semester with an Academic Award for Excellence. Academic Awards of Excellence (discontinued after 2018)

The Donald Snygg Award and the Oswego Woman Scholar Athlete Award are the highest academic accolades the athletics department bestows on its student-athletes. Both honors student-athletes who have demonstrated athletic and academic success in at least two years of participation while having earned a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade-point average. The awards are presented annually at the College's Honors Convocation.
