Oswego, N.Y. – John Mackie of the golf team has been named the Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 27, 2014.
 
Oswego State hosted its annual Laker Spring Invitational at the Oswego Country Club over the weekend. The senior led the team as the Lakers finished third overall in its final round of the 2013-14 season.
 
Mackie finished the weekend tied for fifth place overall on the individual leaderboard. He shaved six strokes off his Saturday round to shoot a 74 on Sunday. The Bellport native finished with a team best 36-hole score of 154.
