OSWEGO, N.Y. – Mariah Madrigal of the women’s ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 22, 2015.
The sophomore goaltender continued her hot streak, notching two shutouts against conference-foe Potsdam. Madrigal stopped all 56 shots she faced over the two game stretch, helping lead her team to a 2-0 weekend.

After letting up two goals against Utica College in the first period on October 15, Madrigal has now played 169:21 minutes without allowing a goal. Over that span, she has accumulated 103 saves, and improved her save percentage to .981.
Women’s hockey will be back on the ice at 2 p.m. on Tuesday when they travel to Hamilton College for a matchup with the Continentals.
