The Waterloo native had a great month of December, continuing to show leadership, commitment and offensive abilities throughout the month.
At the end of the month, Castiglione had totaled 63 points, 27 total rebounds, nine assists, five steals, went 15-20 from the free throw line, shooting 75%, and played a total of 154 minutes.
Continuing their already successful season, the Lakers took on the Golden Eagles of Brockport on December 2. In the contest, Castiglione had a career-high 17 points. The Waterloo native also had season highs in field goals made, field goal attempts, three-pointers made and three-point attempts in the game against Brockport.
The next day, Oswego continued their SUNYAC weekend road trip against the Buffalo State Bengals. Castiglione finished the contest with 13 points in the Lakers’ eighth victory of the season, bringing their SUNYAC record to 2-1. #15 recorded a double-double, recording ten rebounds on top of her 13 points and went 5 for 7 from the freethrow line. Oswego came out with the 73-66 victory.
In their third game of the month, the Lakers were defeated by the Bears of Potsdam in the first game of their North Country trip. Castiglione continued to put up double digits on points with 11 on the day, including four rebounds and an assist.
The Lakers earned their ninth win of the year against the Plattsburgh Cardinals in overtime to depart from the North Country. The graduate student out of Waterloo continued her double-digit point tear as she put up 14 in the win paired with seven rebounds.
In the Lakers final contest of the 2022 calendar year, Castiglione added eight points, four steals, three assists and three rebounds in Oswego’s tenth victory of the season.
Logan, going into the second semester of play, averages 11.5 points per game, totals 126 points on the season, 6.6 rebounds per game and is shooting 76.5% from the freethrow line.
