OSWEGO, N.Y. - John Rauseo of the baseball team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on March 15, 2015.
Rauseo performed well at the plate, helping the Lakers start the RussMatt Florida Invitational 2-2.
In Saturday's doubleheader against Framingham State, the senior finished the day batting .857 (6-for-7). During the two-game stretch, Rauseo scored four runs and batted in two more. In Sunday's series with Washington and Jefferson College, the Mattituck native went 3-8 from the plate, recording a home run and a double. He added three more RBI to his resume as well as two more runs scored himself. Â
In the field Rauseo combined for 16 put outs and no errors on the weekend.Â
Baseball will continue its Spring Break trip at noon on Monday as it takes on Hope College.
