OSWEGO, N.Y. - Kristen Harrigan of the women's track and field team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on April 5, 2015.

Harrigan set a new career-best, along with a school record, in the long jump on Thursday at the University of Rochester. The senior lept 5.20 meters (17'1") in the third round of preliminaries earning her a spot in the finals where she placed sixth.

The West Seneca native also ran the second leg of the 4x100, where her and her teamates finished fifth with a time of 50.27.

Women's track and field will return to action at 11 a.m. on Saturday when the team travels back to Rochester where it will compete at Nazareth College.
