Jordan Sheehy of the field hockey team was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 2.

Sheehy tallied the game-deciding goal in 49^th minute of the Lakers 2-0 victory over Morrisville State on Wednesday. Oswego is now 6-0 on the season, which is its best start in the program’s 47-year history.

The goal was the junior’s third score through the first six games of the season and sets a career-best for a single season. During the 2015 slate, Sheehy tallied just two goals.

Field hockey returns to action on Tuesday evening when it travels to play nationally-ranked William Smith College at 7 p.m.
