Kenny Neil of the men’s ice hockey team was named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19.

On Saturday against No. 13/13 Buffalo State, Neil recorded a monster game, setting personal career-highs with four goals scored and five points. This is the first four-goal performance from a Laker since Paul Rodrigues did it in a 9-0 win over Elmira on Oct. 27, 2012.

On the season, the senior captain leads the team with 17 goals and 40 points. He is also in the top 10 in Division III men’s ice hockey with 1.6 points scored per game, making the Lakers offense one of the most dangerous in the nation. 

Men’s ice hockey returns to game action on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the SUNYAC semifinals as they will host to the lowest remaining seed.
