OSWEGO, N.Y. – Jean-marie Padden – of the women’s ice hockey team – was named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Dec. 9.
Padden recorded both goals in the Lakers’ 2-1 defeat of Amherst College on Saturday. Her tallies were notched just two minutes apart, with the latter of the two, the game-winner, coming 32 seconds after the Mammoths tied the game at 1-1.
The sophomore is currently in a three-way tie with Philomena Teggart and Avery Webster for second most goals on the team (3).
Padden and the Lakers return to action on Tuesday Jan. 8 after observing a winter break, as they travel to Allyn Ice Arena (Skaneateles, N.Y.) for a neutral site contest with Nazareth College, slated to take place at 4 p.m.
