OSWEGO, N.Y. – Catarina Burke – of the women’s indoor track and field team – was named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 3.

The junior won the high jump at the Pioneer Invitational, hosted by Utica College. Her efforts added to an overall solid performance by the women’s team, who finished in eighth out of 16 teams.

The Raynham, Mass. native had a winning height of 1.55 meters in the high jump. This was her third highest mark in all of her appearances in this event, in both indoor and outdoor competitions.

Burke and the Lakers travel to Boston, Mass. to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University, on Friday and Saturday.
