OSWEGO, N.Y. – Rocco Leone – of the baseball team – was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 31.

The Liverpool, N.Y. native dominated opposing pitching in the first two games of the three game set against New Paltz over the weekend, hitting .571 with multi-hit games in each affair. He also scored two runs.

The junior slugged .857, hitting two doubles with one driving in his lone RBI of the series on Saturday. The infielder also showed his stellar glove at second base, recording eight assists and one putout.

Leone and the Lakers take a break from conference action, matching up with Ithaca at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
