Oswego State Athletics

Oswego, N.Y. - Christian Gramuglia - of the wrestling team - was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 3.

The junior had an impressive weekend as he went 4-0 in winning the 165-pound weight class at the 36th Annual Ithaca College Invitational.

The Schenectady, N.Y. native received a bye in the opening round before scoring an 8-3 decision in his first bout.  Against third-seeded Cole Karam of NYU, Gramuglia won a 3-2 decision.  In the semifinal, he defeated Jeff Suschana by a 9-3 decision and then won by fall (2:26) over teammate Charlie Grygas in the final, giving the Lakers the top two finishers in the weight class.

Gramuglia and the Lakers travel to Wilkes-Barre on Saturday at 9 a.m. for the Ned McGinley Invitational Tournament hosted in the McGrane Gymnasium on the campus of King's College.
