Oswego, N.Y. -  Quincey Zimmerman - of the women’s basketball team - has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the week ending January 12.

Zimmerman began the weekend by recording a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in a setback against Fredonia.  In that contest, the senior had five blocks to help the Lakers tie the single-game mark of 11 in a contest as fellow senior Morgan Wolanin had five and junior Raiven Encarnacion had one.

In the Saturday matchup with Buffalo State where the team was playing without one of their best players, the Adams, N.Y. native poured in a career-high 24 points, including hitting 6-for-12 from deep, to help propel Oswego to the 79-67 victory and even the team's conference mark at 2-2.

Zimmerman and the Lakers return to action on Tuesday, January 14 at 5:30 p.m. as they travel to New Paltz for another conference matchup.
