Oswego, N.Y. -  Sarah Yensan - of the women’s indoor track and field team - has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the week ending January 19.

Yensan, a 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field qualifier, hit a jump of 5.32 meters (17' 5.5") in the women's long jump to finish second in a field of 31 athletes.  In terms of national rankings, Yensan's jump of 5.50 meters back in December still sits as the seventh-best mark of the early indoor season.

The Lockport native also competed in the high jump, finishing in the top-10 with a jump of 1.46 meters.

Yensan and the Lakers return to action on Saturday as they travel to Brockport for the Brockport Invitational.
