OSWEGO, N.Y. - Senior Kayla Merrill - of the women's swimming and diving team - Is this week's Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 2.

Merrill won the women's 200-yard Individual Medley by five seconds in helping the Lakers to a 166-117 dual meet victory over Potsdam on Senior Day at Laker Pool.  She also earned one of the key second-place finishes that showcased Oswego's depth and helped them a 7-2 regular season finish to their dual meet season.

Merrill has earned nine event wins, either individually or as part of relays, for the Lakers this season.  Her and the swimming and diving teams return to action from February 19-22 when they compete at the SUNYAC Championships at Erie Community College.
