Oswego State Athletics

Williams, a sophomore, earned two shutout victories over the weekend, defeating visiting Cortland 1-0 in both games. Williams recorded 16 saves in each of the wins. For the season she owns a .934 save percentage and a goal against average of 1.99.

With the two victories, Williams helped Oswego State earn four crucial points as the team is battling for a playoff spot in the ECAC Women’s West Conference. The Lakers (8-9-1, 5-6-1 ECAC Women’s West) are currently tied for fifth place with Utica College. The teams will meet in Utica for a crucial two-game series on Fri., Feb. 6 and Sat., Feb. 7. The top six teams from the conference at the end of the regular season will qualify for the ECAC Women’s West playoffs.

Williams, a broadcasting major, is the daughter of Chet and Diana Williams of Anchorage, AK.
