OSWEGO, N.Y. – Oswego State Athletics has released the Oswego Health Athletes of The Month for April. The selected individuals have been standouts in their sports in the month of April. This month’s award winners are Jake Owens of Men’s Golf and Isabella Lembo of Women’s Lacrosse. 

Jake Owens had a great month, in four tournaments, Owens took medalist honors in two of those, taking first place overall in the Oswego State Spring Invitational and the Elmira Invitational in back-to-back weeks. Owens also performed great in the Empire 8 Spring Championships (a continuation of the Empire 8 Fall Championship tournament). Owens took fifth place in the combined fall and spring season tournament. Most recently, Owens was named to the Empire 8 All-Conference first team with his performances in the Spring season, this was even before both individual efforts at Elmira and Oswego.
