Oswego State Athletics

Oswego State Athletics has announced the Oswego Health Student Athletes of the Month for November. The selected athletes are Charlie Grygas from Men's Wrestling and Faith Coyle from Women's Cross Country.
 
Charlie Grygas kicked off the 2023-24 wrestling campaign with several strong performances for the Lakers. Grygas finished 3rd in his weight class at the Ithaca College Invitational, went 3-0 at the Brockport Quad Meet, and notched a 1st place finish in his weight class at the SUNYAC Championships. While at RIT for the SUNYAC Championships, Grygas also notched his 100th career win as a Laker.
 
Faith Coyle represented the Lakers cross country team at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championships on November 18^th. Coyle finished 22^nd out of a field of 145 runners and broke the previous Oswego State record for the race, which has stood for the last 21 years, with a time of 22:27.8. In addition to the record-breaking performance, Coyle also earned All-Region honors.
