Oswego State's Maureen Kasperek (Fulton) scored her second goal of the game with 4:31 remaining in overtime to lift the Lakers to a 2-1 victory over visiting Clarkson on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at the South Athletic Complex.

Kasperek scored the game winner from the far side of the Clarkson penalty area after taking a feed from freshman Morgan Vrydaghs (Campbell Hall).

In the second half, the Lakers (3-5-2) trailed 2-1 before Kasperek tied the score off of a scramble in front of the Golden Knight net. That goal came just under seven minutes into the new half. With the two goals, the junior now has nine on the season and 53 in her career, one short of the school record of 54 held by Missy Verdoliva.

The Golden Knights (3-7) struck first in the opening half as Jennifer Urquhart (Portland, ME) scored her team-high fourth goal on an assist from Linda Fernandez (Kennebunkport, ME).

Ashlee Distin (Fulton) earned the win in net for Oswego State making three saves.

For Clarkson, Lauren Arredondo (Allendale, NJ) finished with five saves.

Oswego State returns to conference play this weekend with road games at defending national champion Oneonta and an improved New Paltz.
