The Oswego State field hockey team closed out the home portion of its schedule falling to visiting Brockport by the score of 2-1 in overtime on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the South Athletic Complex.
Brockport appeared to be in command as Na'Lisa Rowe (Marathon) scored on a penalty stroke with 6:28 remaining in the second half.
That lead was short lived as Shari Przybyla (Whitesboro) tied the game for Oswego State just 44 seconds later. Amy Parish (Clinton) earned an assist on the goal.
The deciding goal came with 1:05 left in the first overtime as Gretchen Brehm (Rochester) knocked in a pass from Rowe for the game winner.
Laker goalie Ashley Perkins (Oneida) was steady in net making 15 saves.
Sarah Sutherland (Fort Ann) finished with two saves for the Golden Knights.
The Lakers will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 9, at New Paltz.
