The Oswego State men's team cruised to an 85-53 victory, as they never trailed, starting the game on a 20-7 run. The Lakers (4-0) would then carry a 40-30 advantage into the intermission.
The loss knocked Cazenovia to 1-2 on the season.
Dave Ponza (Solvay) led the Lakers with 16 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the floor and also pulled down six rebounds. Ben Oliver (Batavia) contributed with 12 points and Nicholas Perioli (Liverpool) netted 11. Mat Burridge (Hannibal) had another balanced game as the sophomore scored nine points and had six rebounds.
John Scharborough (Syracuse) led Cazenovia as the freshman scored 15 points.The Lakers head to SUNYIT tomorrow for an 8 p.m. start.
