The Oswego State field hockey team suffered its fourth straight loss as Utica College scored a 2-0 victory over the Lakers on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the South Athletic Complex.
The Pioneers, ranked 15th in the latest STX/NFHCA Division III poll, moved to 8-1 on the season, while Oswego State fell to 1-8.
Utica opened the scoring 19:31 into the game when Carla Behe (Little Falls) scored on a penalty stroke.
Danielle Fiori (Lakeland) netted the other Pioneer goal as Behe collected an assist.
Utica goalie Jenny Lounsbury (Saratoga Springs) made one save to earn the shutout.
Oswego State's Kaitlin Daniels (Sag Harbor) finished with 13 saves.
The Lakers return to SUNY Athletic Conference play on Saturday, Oct. 2, at Geneseo.
