The Oswego State field hockey team yielded a pair of second-half goals as visiting Ithaca College posted a 2-0 victory on Wednesday, September 8th at the South Athletic Complex.
The win puts the Bombers at 2-1, while the Lakers dropped to 0-3.
After a scoreless opening half, Bryce Meck (Mechanicsburg, PA) netted what turned out to be the game winner cashing in on a short pass from Brooke Aldrich (Oxford). That goal came 8:44 into the new period.
Ithaca College doubled the lead just over five minutes later as Christina Capozzi (Bayport) scored unassisted.
Oswego State goalie Kim Trepasso (Warrensburg) finished with a career-high 19 saves.
In goal for the Bombers, Andrea Baraiola (Wallingford, CT) made one save.
The Lakers will play their first road game this Saturday heading to Geneva to take on William Smith.
