Oswego State's baskeball programs swept Geneseo Friday night in Max Ziel Gymnasium. The women opened the evening with a 79-67 win over the Knights while the men won 67-60.
The victories bring Oswego's records to 2-2 and 4-0 respectively.
The women's team was even with the Knights at the intermission, 38-38. The score was tied with 10 minutes left when Oswego used a 10-3 run to break the game open.
The Lakers had four players score in double digits. Lacey Kimpland led the waywith 20 points, three assists and four rebounds. Sarah Lombard had 16 points and six rebounds, while Samantha Driscoll and Jessica Tremblay contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively.
The men led 34-24 at the half and were up by as many as 18 points in the second half before Geneseo mounted a comeback. The Knights trailed 49-45 when the Lakers went on a game-clinching 10-4 run.
Leading the way for Oswego was the duo of Nichoas Perioli and Mat Burridge, each scoring 16 points. Kyle Reuter had 13 points, while Todd Franze contributed 10 points and three steals.
