The Oswego State men's basketball team rallied for a 68-66 win over Nazareth on Tuesday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium.
The Lakers are now 6-0 on the season while the Golden Flyers fell to 2-3 overall.
Oswego State trailed for the entire second half until senior forward Ahmad Mims was fouled while converting a layup and made the free throw to put the Lakers ahead 61-60 with 4:21 left. Tyler Smith made a basket to put Nazareth back in front, but Nick Perioli hit a 3-pointer from the left wing to give host Oswego the lead once again.
In the final minute, Mims hit two free throws with 28.7 seconds left to give the Lakers a 68-66 lead. Nazareth missed on two field goal attempts in its final possession.
Mat Burridge had 21 points for the Lakers. Perioli added 14 and Mims had 11. Erik Roberson provided a spark in the second half for Oswego State and finished the game with 12 points.
Nazareth's Joe Canori led all players with 25 points. Tyler Smith had 12.
Oswego State returns to action this weekend in tournament play at RIT.
