Oswego (11-3, 5-1 SUNYAC) shot 63.8 percent from the field and made 7-of-10 from long range to beat Buffalo State (9-5, 3-2), 93-75, in a SUNYAC game Jan. 17 at the Sports Arena in Buffalo.

Buffalo State opened the game with a 12-2 run, before Oswego took over the opening stanza. The Lakers responded with a 13-0 run of their own, and closed the half with a 49-37 lead. Oswego shot 61.3 percentfrom the field, including hitting 4-of-5 three-point shots in the opening 20 minutes. The Lakers stayed in control in the second half, never letting the Bengals cut the deficit to single digits.

Todd Franze (Westfield/Westfield) and Nicholas Perioli (Liverpool/Liverpool) led Oswego with 20 points each.  Franze added seven assists. Ahmad Mims (Syracuse/CNS) added 15 points and eight boards, and Tom Downing (Staten Island/Curtis) had 14 points.

The Lakers will travel to New Paltz on Friday for an 8 p.m. tip.
