The Oswego State women's basketball team traveled to Daytona Beach last week to compete in the annual Amerisport International Land of Magic Classic Basketball Tournament. The Lakers finished the short week 1-1, defeating Baruch College 80-73, then losing a tough overtime game to Wisconsin-Stevens Point 87-75.

Leading the way for the Lakers was Lacey Kimpland with 37 total points, 6 steals and 5 rebounds.  Oswego's Kelly Mraz and Lyndsey Marquit netted over 20 points each while Mraz had nine assists to add to the weekend statistics.  Jessica Tremblay finished with 17 points and 20 rebounds highlighting a double-double against Baruch with 13 points and 15 rebounds. 

The Lakers are now 4-4 on the season and will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 7, when they will travel to Clinton to face Hamilton College.
