The Oswego State field hockey team had its best offensive showing of the season and defeated Wells College 6-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Laker Field in Oswego.
Senior forward Jennifer Tordy and sophomore forward Kaylee Voorhies each scored twice for the Lakers. Beth Patterson and Megan Erlenback also scored for Oswego State.
The Lakers built a 4-0 lead in the first 19 minutes of the game. Tordy opened the scoring just 2:10 into the contest and added her second goal of the match 13:33 into the game. The Lakers extended the lead to 3-0 just 32 seconds after Tordy's second goal. That goal was scored by Beth Patterson. Oswego State never looked back.
Voorhies scored once in the first half and then again in the second half, and Erlenback also scored. Patterson, Jenna Retzer, Hannah Chevalier, and Lauren Mastriano had assists in the game for Oswego State.
Oswego State outshot Wells 29-1 and had a 14-1 advantage in penalty corners.
The Lakers are now 2-12 on the season and Wells dropped to 1-10.
