The Oswego State women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 overtime loss to the Potsdam Bears on Saturday at Laker Field.
The Bears' Cori Witkiewicz dribbled through the midfield and bounced a low, hard shot that eluded Oswego State goalkeeper Melissa Hacknauer and ended the game in sudden-victory 28 seconds into the second overtime period.
Oswego State's Megan Rogers had a direct-kick shot in the first half that bounced off of the crossbar and was one of several good opportunities for the Lakers to score. Oswego State outshot Potsdam 12-7 in the match.
Laker goalie Melissa Hacknauer made three saves, while Potsdam goalkeeper Sarah Casey
made five.
The Lakers dropped to 1-13-0 overall and 1-8-0 in the SUNYAC, while the Bears improved to 5-9-1 on the season and 2-6-1 in conference play.
Oswego State faces Cortland on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
