Fredonia defeated Oswego State 2-0 in women's soccer action on Friday afternoon at Laker Soccer Field in Oswego. The visiting Blue Devils scored twice in the final 19 minutes of the match to earn the victory.

Fredonia's Lauren Heilweil scored on a rebound from a direct-kick shot by Linsay Kulas with 18:18 remaining in the contest to put the Blue Devils in front. Jess Weinberger scored an insurance goal with 5:30 left to play after being played through by Janette Westman.

Oswego State goalkeeper Melissa Hacknauer had five saves and Fredonia goalkeeper Becky Scroger had five saves. Fredonia outshot Oswego State 13-8.

The Blue Devils are 5-1-0 in SUNYAC games and 8-4-1 overall.

Oswego State fell to 1-5-0 in conference games and 1-10-0 overall. The Lakers will host Buffalo State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
