The Oswego State field hockey team lost 1-0 at New Paltz on Saturday.

Oswego State outshot New Paltz 9-7 in the match, but New Paltz goalkeeper Nicole Kovac made seven saves to earn the shutout. The only goal of the match was scored by Kaitlin Ruggiero in the 20th minute.

The Lakers are now 1-12 on the season and 0-5 in SUNYAC play.
