The Oswego State women's ice hockey team lost 2-0 to visiting Neumann on Saturday at the Campus Center Ice Arena in Oswego.
A second-period goal from Neumann's Carolyn Fauteux came two seconds after an Oswego State penalty had expired, with 7:23 remaining in the period. It proved to be the game-winner. Carly Fitzsimmons and Jenelle Marier assisted.
Robyn Armstrong scored with 8:26 left in the game to give the Knights a two-goal cushion. It was all of the scoring in the game, as Neumann picked up its first win of the season and is now 1-2-0 overall and in ECAC Women's West play.
Oswego State goalie Hilary Hitchman made 37 saves in the game, while Neumann's Teresa White had 24 saves.
The Lakers are now 3-2-1 on the year and 1-2-1 in the ECAC Women's West.
The same two teams meet again on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Oswego.
